Stopping
Shade
Those
who attend parks can find it a pleasure to bask in the sun. This does not
mean
that shade cannot be appreciated, especially on very hot days.
The possibility
of sheltering from the more intense sunshine can be of significant importance
for those whose conditions or physical characteristics do not allow them
an intense exposure to the sun.
Shaded areas should be provided for partial
protection
of the play area, where the benches are located and the tables for stopping,
and along the longest routes (at least in parts).
D
Shade offered by forest
trees is certainly among the most appreciated. It is recommended to use
plants with
deciduous leaves, which do not obstruct the sunrays to the area beneath
in winter. If plants are positioned which have the characteristic of
letting large amounts fall (leaves, dry branches, acorns, fruits) effective
and
frequent
cleaning of the area below must be ensured to avoid tripping or slipping.
