Athletic equipment

Though not belonging strictly to the category of toys, equipment for athletic exercises in the open air is worth some attention in the context of the present guidelines, if not only because they are found in public parks. It seems clear that physical exercises, which a differently-abled person can do, are in direct relation to their personal abilities that can be very different and varied.

Therefore, though not presuming our ability in providing instructions for making the athletic exercises usable by all, we believe that there are some activities that should be adopted in this sense. Basketball D

The athletic equipment installed should also allow only one part of the body do be used, allowing any person to choose the kind of exercise more suited to their characteristics and abilities. Specific needs of those who cannot reach or hold an upright position for too long should also be considered. In this case it will be useful to put benches for exercises that can be carried out lying down or sitting.

Also through the arrangement of intermediate elements of passage, transfer from a wheelchair to the any exercise bench should be made the most comfortable possible.

Handholds and supports must be present and placed in a way that makes it easier to reach the correct position for carrying out the exercises.
